Foreign police registration

Registration with the Foreign Police is a mandatory step given by the legislation for anyone planning to stay in Czechia for more than 30 days. To complete this process, you are required to visit the Foreign Police office, where you will need to fill out a registration form and present your travel document.

Registration certificate for EU/EEA national 

A Registration Certificate is an official document issued to citizens of the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, and also to certain citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland who plan to stay in the Czech Republic for more than three months. While EU citizens enjoy the freedom to enter and reside in the Czech Republic without limitations, obtaining the Registration Certificate is highly recommended and useful.

Temporary residence permit of an EU citizen’s family member 

A Temporary Residence Permit of an EU Citizen’s Family Member is a type of a residence permit for non-EU citizens who are family members of EU, Icelandic, Liechtenstein, Norwegian, Swiss, or Czech citizens. Under specific conditions, it may also apply to family members of UK citizens. This permit is intended for stays longer than 90 days, allowing for a legal security and various benefits for those wishing to reside in the Czech Republic alongside their EU family member. Benefits include easy travel within the Schengen Area or the possibility of working in the Czech Republic without a work permit from the moment the application is submitted.
