Long-term residence permit “freelancer”
What and who is it for? The Long-term residence permit for business purposes is designed for non-EU citizens who wish to legally live and conduct business in the Czech Republic (and beyond the validity of a Long-term visa. This permit allows freelancers, entrepreneurs, and business owners to continue their self-employment or business activities in the country.
Who qualifies for it? You need to fulfill the purpose of this residence permit by working as a self-employed freelancer, operating a licensed trade, or serving as a statutory representative or a member of a statutory body of a trading company in the Czech Republic. In addition to this, you must meet one of the following conditions:

You already hold a Long-term visa for business purposes, or
-
You hold a long-term residence permit for any purpose and have legally resided in the Czech Republic for more than 5 years.
How long is the permit valid for? The Long-term residence permit is initially granted for a maximum of 2 years. Before it expires, holders can apply for an extension to continue their stay and business activities in the Czech Republic.
