Temporary protection visa for Ukrainian refugees
What is it, and who is it for? Temporary protection is a special status granted to Ukrainian nationals who have been displaced due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This protection allows individuals and families to stay in the Czech Republic legally while they are unable to return to their home country. It provides essential support, including the right to live, work, and access healthcare, education, and social services in the Czech Republic.
Who qualifies for it? Ukrainian nationals who were displaced due to the war and meet the criteria set by Czech immigration authorities are eligible for temporary protection. This status is primarily aimed at people who fled Ukraine after February 24, 2022, as well as their immediate family members.
How long is Temporary Protection valid? Temporary protection for Ukrainian nationals is initially granted for one year, with the possibility of extension, depending on the ongoing situation in Ukraine and the Czech government’s decisions. The status may be extended as needed, ensuring continued legal stay and support in the Czech Republic.
If you are a Ukrainian national in need of protection, we can help guide you through the application process and ensure you receive the support and assistance you need!
