Digital nomad Visa
What and who is it for? The Digital Nomad Visa is a special program that allows remote workers to legally live and work in the Czech Republic. It is designed for highly skilled professionals in IT and marketing who are either employed by a foreign company or working as freelancers. The program provides access to legal residence, business opportunities, and essential services in the Czech Republic
Who qualifies for it? To be eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa, applicants must meet the following general criteria:

Be a citizen of Australia, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, or Taiwan.

Must not have held a Long-term visa or residence permit in the Czech Republic in the past year.
Additionally, applicants must qualify under one of the following categories:
Employees of a foreign company

Must be employed by a foreign company with at least 50 employees worldwide.

The employment contract must state that remote work is allowed.

Must have a degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or Marketing, or at least 3 years of professional experience in the respective field.

Must earn at least 1.5 times the average gross annual salary set by the Czech government.
Freelancers (Self-employed individuals)

Must be registered as a freelancer in IT or marketing in the Czech Republic.

Must have a higher education degree in IT or Marketing or at least 3 years of experience in the field.

Must provide proof of sufficient income of at least 1.5 times the average gross annual salary set by the Czech government.
Can family members join? Yes! Immediate family members of digital nomads can apply for a long-term visa under family reunification rules. If they do not hold a passport from an eligible country, they must apply at a Czech embassy in their country of residence.
How long is the Digital Nomad Visa valid? The Digital Nomad Visa is typically granted for a period of up to 1 year, with the possibility of extension, depending on your circumstances and compliance with the visa requirements.
